News and Events

On October 19th a small group of individuals took a beautiful ride on the General Dacey Trail overlooking Lake Shelbyville.  This hayride was offered to individuals with mobility restrictions, making it possible to enjoy a hayride even in a wheelchair.

The weather was perfect for an long ride through the wooded trail, admiring the changing landscape and fall colors.

We want you all to know how proud we are of our workforce!
Our Direct Support Professionals do an incredible job EVERY DAY!

We would like to express our gratitude to the Beacon Benefit Committee, our employees and the communities of Arthur and Sullivan for the tremendous effort that is given for the success of our annual fundraiser.  We unfortunately depend on fundraising to supplement the funding for the services we provide.

Capital projects such as building upgrades and maintenance are not funded through the State of Illinois, but are obviously necessary for us to  house 40 individuals in 24-hour residential homes and serve 80 individuals in day programs.  Without this benefit, our resources for maintaining the ability to provide services would be sorely lacking.

We thank the individuals who work so hard to make this benefit a success, our staff volunteer hours making doughnuts and pies, serving and assisting at the sale.  Our family members joyously attend and purchase items generously for our benefit.

Bless you for your Support!!
